This week on our Cosmic Cowgirls call, we each shared some of our personal practices and aids. Here are some we came up with:
- Movement several times a week (Qigong, walking, yoga, Ballet, etc)
- Art practice, journaling, painting, craft to begin and end the day
- Grounding, perhaps outside with a tree
- Drum or play flute
- Stay hydrated! Water and herb tea
- Healthy food choices (don't turn to food)
- Time in circle with friends/family (supportive)
- Time with animals pets (new kittens!)
- Art blogs and artist groups on FB
- Meditation/ quiet time
- Receive bodywork or do self-Reiki
- Epson salt bath with a candle, soft music
- Include self, step in, engage! - not waiting to be "invited!" (Check-in if you need, find a group that's harmonious, avoid isolating ourselves)
- Slow down, take time for things you enjoy
- Balance responsibilities and "fun stuff"
- Saying prayers of your tradition
- Guided meditation
- Essential oils, smudge
- Take action, if something is bothering you!
- Come from love "let love be the center of your choices!"
- Become a lifetime learner, study something new

Thanks for the good advice for my ribs, I will try that earth to make a poultice. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
these are great self care prompts. And I would add "say thank you every single day."
Happy PPF!
I love an Epsom salt bath - I add crystals and use incense instead of candles though. Bliss!
Wonderful prompts! I'm always partial to making art for self care :) Happy PPF!
I love trying natural ways to feel better and begin my day and bring peace to my evening.
Wonderful post.
Happy PPF!
Jan
love your list!
Actually I do on a daily or weekly basis 15 of the item on your list. It is important to keep a balance. Thank you for this post.
Great self care! Ooo, I meant to include gratitude, Linda!
I put several drops of my favorite essential oils in my Epsom salts, which dispersed then nicely in the bath.
Balance is so important, Nicole!
Love the candles :-) There's some wonderful advice in this list. I'm trying to make more time for self-care, but I don't succeed every day. The only thing I always do is to read at least a few pages in a good book....
It's all a process, isn't it?
I love reading, that's something I do frequently as well!
I don't miss my time at the gym, and my daily painting is a MUST for my creative soul :)
